Branding

Naming: Meezan
Meezan literally means balance; of which the definition matches perfectly with my campaign brief and concept. The definition is: 1) an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady; stability of one’s mind and feelings. 2) A condition in which deferent elements are equal or in the correct proportions; art harmony of design and proportion. 3) A counteracting weight or force.

Logo:
The logo was adapted from a technique that I came up with for one of my typography. Lines that connect together through small squares that resemble the curve point of a letter.

Color:
Until now the color is just black as it is simple, and is all colors mixed together, and to me there is no specific color that would really represent my concept.

Typography:
I have used both English and Arabic fonts in my poster, with Arabic being the dominant. For my Arabic font I have used two different ones. For the verses I have come up with the idea to represent my font with many lines intersecting each other at the curve points of a specific letter, therefore recreating the font, as shown. This concept matched my campaign and art direction perfectly. The other font I used for Arabic was Nazli Bold.
For English I chose to go ahead with Universe 57 Condensed because of its simplicity, and because it is a little bit narrow. I did not want to use very wide fonts.

This is an example of how the basic font was turned into the lines type, and how the lines meet at the curve points.
