Artist’s Statement
I like to call myself an artist more than a designer (even though my concentration is Graphic Design) because I tend to always, even without meaning it, relate what I design to art and something emotional in my life. Most of my work has been created spontaneously rather than planned out as design theories require; nevertheless I am learning to adapt to the fundamentals of correct design, and I do learn well. I like to use all the tools and mediums that I know in my life and cannot really choose a favorite. I try to be brave in what I design in terms of boldness and color, and I always like a mixture of the traditional and the modern together. A lot of my creations are revolved around my religion, as it is a very important topic to me. I aim to make use of the world of art and design to make a difference, and state a message, as I strongly believe in the power of both. A lot of my work has been revolved around self expression, and I am now trying to branch out and cover more important topics in life.
